Client FAQs from Idaho: Common Concerns, Misconceptions, & How We Handle Them

If you’ve been thinking about a boudoir session in Idaho, chances are you’ve typed at least one of these questions into Google at 2 a.m. Don’t worry, every single client who walks through my studio doors has the exact same concerns.

Some are funny.

Some are vulnerable.

Some are whispered like confessions.

And all of them are completely normal.

Let’s walk through the most common questions women from Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, and all over Idaho ask and how we handle each one.

“Do you photoshop me?”

Short answer: no — but I do edit. Long answer: I don’t change your body. I don’t shrink waists, remove cellulite, or make you look like someone else. But I do remove temporary things like:

  • blemishes

  • bruises

  • razor burn

  • redness

  • little distractions

You’ll still look like you, just polished, glowy, and professionally photographed.

“I don’t know how to pose. Will I look awkward?”

Every woman says this.

Every. Single. One.

And here’s the truth: you’re not supposed to know how to pose. That’s my job.

I guide you through every movement from head to toe:

  • where to put your hands

  • how to soften your jaw

  • how to arch without strain

  • how to breathe into a pose

  • what to do with your feet (yes, it matters!)

Nothing is left up to you. No guesswork. No “just relax.” Just clear direction and constant encouragement.

“What if I don’t look like the women on your website?”

You do. You just don’t see yourself the way other people do… yet.

I photograph:

  • moms
  • lgbtq+
  • women in their 40s, 50s, 60s
  • postpartum bodies
  • curvy bodies
  • slim bodies
  • tall, short, athletic, soft
  • women who haven’t worn lingerie in 20 years
  • women who have never done something like this before
  • Everyone thinks they won’t fit in.

Every single woman ends up asking, “Is that really me?!”

“Is my privacy protected?”

Absolutely. Idaho is a small world.... people know people. So privacy matters!

You choose:

  • full private gallery (no sharing, ever)
  • share only specific images
  • anonymous sharing
  • full permission to show your photos

Nothing is posted without your written consent. And your gallery is protected with secure, private delivery.

“What do I even wear?”

Great news! You don’t have to guess. You get:

  • my curated Amazon lingerie list
  • styling help
  • outfit examples
  • options that flatter your body type
  • guidance for tone, color, and textures that photograph beautifully

Plus: You don’t even have to wear lingerie. Sweaters, button downs, bodysuits, veils, robes — all stunning.

“Will I be nervous?”

Yes. Every client walks in nervous. But here’s the magic within 5 minutes you’re laughing, breathing easier, and saying, “Why was I even scared?”. The atmosphere at 26th Street Studio is cozy, warm, and completely private. You’ll feel held, safe, and guided the entire time.

“What if I’m shy or introverted?”

Beautiful. Shy clients make some of the most emotional, breathtaking images.

You don’t need to be loud, bold, or extroverted to take gorgeous boudoir photos. You just need to show up. I’ll handle the rest.

“How does the whole process actually work?”

Booking:

Pick your date. Sign your contract. You’re in.

Planning:

We choose outfits, create your vision, and prepare your shoot.

Session Day:

You arrive, get pampered with hair and makeup (usually by Skyla Dawn Hawks), pick your outfits, turn on your playlist, and we shoot.

Reveal:

You see your images and feel like a goddess.

Final Products:

Choose an album, wall art, acrylic block, magazine, little black book, or any of the luxury pieces your images deserve.

“Do you photograph LGBTQ+ clients?”

Yes, fully, intentionally, and safely. My studio is an inclusive space for every identity and every story.

“What if I’m not confident right now?”

Then this session is exactly for you.

You don’t come to boudoir confident. You leave confident.

Most women book their sessions during seasons of doubt, transition, heartbreak, healing, or change. Boudoir meets you where you’re at and lifts you up.

Final Thoughts

If you have questions, you’re normal.

If you have doubts, you’re human.

If you’re scared, nervous, curious, excited,.... welcome.

You are exactly who boudoir is made for.

And in my Boise studio, your story, your comfort, and your beauty come first always.
